MY TOP 5 FAVORITE FOUNDATIONS

Hello beautiful people!

Now I'm gonna show you my top 5 favorite foundations. I trust these foundations, and I believe in them. I've tested and using them for enough time to tell you these are some of my favorites.

I am not an everyday foundation user, but I use them enough to tell which one is work which is not, which one I love and which one I just like.

So, let's get started!

Shall we start with the infamous Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua ? Yes, we shall.
I have 2 of this foundation. Yup. I bought my first Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua in shade B30. And I thought I would be a match for me, but unfortunately it is a little bit dark for my taste. It is a match for my summer shades, but it is a tad bit dark. So I went and buy another one in shade B20, which is perfect. I still use my B30, and I always mix it with my Chanel CC Cream which is lighter than my skin tone and it makes a perfect foundation as well. It has a luminous finish, smells great ( I love Chanel's products scents btw) and it lasts on me pretty good. For the price tag, it is expensive, but I think it is worth every penny. My friends even asked me what foundation that I use, and this makes my skin is flawless.

I am all about that light to medium coverage girl, and this foundation is the one. If I want cover any imperfection on my face, I will always prefer using concealer than a thick heavy coverage foundation. I hate the feeling of wearing mask on my face. It has spf 15 but thank God it does not give me weird flash back.

Shade rage? It is not so wide unfortunately, but I find my match so I have no problem with that. But I do think it is a little bit weird that the CC cream is in shade 20 and it is lighter than the foundation in shade 20. Chanel, you need a consistency in your shades babe. It doesn't hold my oiliness at bay, but I do not care at all. All I have to do is a little blot with blotting paper and I am ready to continue my day. For packaging it is great for traveling since it is in plastic squeeze tube. PS : shake well before you use. Buffing brush or beauty blender works wonder with this product.

The next one is my YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation. Mine is in the shade B30. My love for Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua is equal with this foundation. I have no regret at all purchased this foundation, since it makes me flawless. Best application? Damped beauty blender is my favourite. It is medium coverage foundation with luminous finish which I love eventhough I have oily skin, but I want to look dewy okay? Oil control? Not so much, but there is blotting paper and it never claims on keep my oil away, so I do not even mind. It has a scent, but it is okay for me. It also has a pump which is great, and I love the packaging. It is so luxurious with glass bottle. And for me it is worth the price.

The third one is Too Faced Born This Way foundation. Mine is in the shade Ivory. It is a perfect match for me, and it has natural finish. It has medium to full coverage which you can build it up, but I prefer medium coverage. I like to use this foundation also with damped beauty blender. It is come with a pump and glass bottle. And I will use this on special occasion like when I graduated and I do not have time to blot my face. This foundation last so well on my face and looks natural, not cakey at all. TF Born This Way has great selection of shades so you will find your perfect match. No scent at all, oil free, no SPF which are perfect for events.

The fourth one is my Borjouis Healthy Mix Serum Foundation in shade 52 Vanilla. Borjouis does not have a big selection of shades, but thankfully there is a match for me. It is lightweight, and has natural finish. Coverage wise, it has light to medium coverage. I like to use buffing brush with this foundation, and it sets pretty fast. It is a great day to day foundation for me. Longevity is great, and it is a drugstore product. If you have not try this foundation yet, this product is worth to try.

Last but not least, this is a pretty new foundation for me, but I love it from the first time I used it. It is my Hourglass Immaculate Liquid to Powder Foundation. Love this product, and I have in depth review of this product already. So you might want to check it out. hourglass immaculate foundation review

I guess this post is a long one, sorry for that. But I hope you can share some of your favourites down on the comment section. xx

MOVING OUT II OUT OF TOPIC

HELLO PEOPLE!

To be honest I am exhausted, physically and mentally. I am currently on my process of moving out from my old place to my new apartment. I have a lot of things in my old place that I have to take with me to my new place. And those things make me realize that I'm probably a hoarder.

My makeup is not the biggest collection, but for me it is a lot. I have a lot of other things as well, and it's all over the place right now. It's so uncomfortable, but I cannot do anything about it, since I am moving them slowly, like in 3 phase. I already did my phase 1, it is tiring.

I love my old place, but sometimes I hate it too (story of my life). My old place is my safe zone, like it's small, packed with things, but it's all my things. But things that I hate is the water pump really problematic, also it is so noisy here especially in the morning since there's construction right next to my place. Also, no parking space. I have to park my car at my boyfie's house. And I cannot use it all the time. So, I need a new place and I found one.

My new place is not so big, it's a 2 bedrooms apartment, but it is comfy. I finally can make my dream vanity where I can put all my make up, and I will make them organized (fingers crossed). But the process of moving things is the one that makes me stressed out lately. My anxiety is coming and go, but my meds are helping me a lot. I have to move out (like totally emptying my space) on next Saturday, so I hope after I finish moving out, my anxiety will calm down.

I may not post anything these 2 weeks, since I still have a lot of things to do. I promise after I finish organize my new place I will post new reviews and new stuff. So be patient peeps!

MY KYLIE LIP KIT IS FINALLY HERE

Hello gorgeous! The post I've been waiting to post is finally here. IT'S MY KYLIE LIP KIT REVIEW AND SWATCHES! yaaaaaaassss!

First of all, I get my Kylie Lip Kit from 2 online shops. My Candy K is from @yayformakeups, and my other 3 (Koko K, Posie K, and Dolce K) are from @kylielipkitjakarta (both are in Instagram, go check their IG!). I got my Candy K first, and after a few weeks later my other 3 babies arrived at my doorstep.

Let's talk about Candy K first. I love this shades. So much. It's so gorgeous on my lips. And to be honest, the idea selling a lip liner with a liquid lipstick actually a good idea. Lip liner helps me a lot in applying liquid lipstick. Lip liner makes it so much easier. Trust me, I am no good in applying liquid lipstick if the formula is so liquid (like this lip kit or colourpop). Sometimes it's so messy and I have to clean it after I apply it. But if I apply lip liner first, I have no problem with messy liquid lipstick application. Almost forget, this liquid lipstick has no stopper like other brands' lip glosses or liquid lipstick. (Stopper is like a thing inside the tube of your liquid lipstick that gives you a perfect amount of lipstick if that makes sense).

The packaging for me.. It does look cheap. It's just a plastic tube just like NYX glosses, and for the lipliner is okay and normal for a lip liner. You can sharpen the lip liner by the way.

The formula of this liquid lipstick is pretty liquid, and it has a vanilla cake smells but it does not overpowering. The lip liner is very creamy, and I love it. Both are very pigmented, and dry so fast. It does make your lips dry, but it is not the worst liquid lipstick I've tried. It still looks good after touch up, but a little does crumble after touch up. Staying power is great, it stays on me for 5 hours and after that I may need a little touch up. It does not bleed at all and smear all over your face.

Candy K is a warm nude with a pink undertone. This color is perfect for my skintone. It's my new MLBB.

Next is my second faves, Posie K. Posie K is a pink with a little bit puple on it. I love this shades. But I do not know why Posie K appears darker, and redder on my camera. I am so sorry about this.

Koko K is a light nude pink with white in it. The white in it makes it not look so good on my lips. And to be honest, I am not so used with this type of shades. It is pretty on darker skin tone.

The last one is Dolce K. Dolce K is a darker nude with a little bit of peachiness. Dolce K looks so dark on my lips. But it is a perfect lipstick shade if you want a 90's look. This shade also will look so pretty on darker skin tone.

Overall, $29 for a liquid lipstick and a lipliner is pretty good in my opinion. It is not the best liquid lipstick, but it is great. But after shipping, and fees and blablabla, online shop does not sell this product that cheap. It is almost 2 times the prices here in Indonesia.

Pros :
-Dries fast
-Not sticky at all
-Not so drying (compared to other liquid lipsticks)
-The lipliner is awesome
-Pigmented
-Smells nice
-Staying power is great
-Still looks good after second application (touch up)

Cons :
-It is pretty expensive here in Indonesia
-Color selection is not big
-The liquid lipstick has no stopper thingy
-The packaging is cute, but looks cheap

TIPS : Do scrub your lips and apply lip balm afterwards before you apply the liquid lipstick. This will help.

HOURGLASS IMMACULATE LIQUID TO POWDER FOUNDATION REVIEW

Hourglass is one of high end brand. It is expensive, but their products are so good and it's worth the damn money. I did not expect my self to buy this foundation, but there is no regret at all. At the other hand, I am in love with this foundation.

It cost me around SGD 87 (I guess) to get this product. It is hella expensive for a foundation, but I just really want to try this one, since it claims skincare benefit as well. In Sephora website, it says that in a four week consumer study of 30 women with oily, acne-prone skin (which I am both) :
100% reported an improvement in overall skin appearance and skin smoothness
100% reported that the product worked without drying their skin
83% reported a decrease in oil production and the need for touch-ups
80% reported a visible improvement in acne scars
70% reported a visible improvement in pore size
63% reported a reduction in severity of breakouts

This foundation claims a lot. I have tested this foundation and I have my own opinion about their claims. Some are good, some not really. This foundation gives me light to medium coverage. And their color selection is not that good. I use shades Shell. At first, I was shocked that this shade is so light and might not a match for my skin, but after you blend this product into your skin it turns (oxidized) to darker shade. This foundation is oil free and has a pump which is good.

This foundation consistency is pretty thick but lightweight.

For improvement in skin appearance and smoothness. I've used this foundation in 3 ways, with fingers, buffing brush and beauty blender. In most of the time beauty blender gives me the best finish, but in this case it is not. For me to see the best coverage of this foundation please use buffing brush. This method do makes my skin appears smoother and it covers my pores and looks much better than using beauty blender. But I do still need concealer on my zits.

For the product worked without drying the skin. Yup it is the truth. It does not cling to my dry area or dry patches. And it does not makes me feel dry. It is a liquid to powder foundation, and I do still use powder on the top to set everything.

Claim no 3 decrease in oil production, well.. not so much. Since it is a matte foundation, it holds the oil much better than my other foundation. And I do still need touch up, but after 4-5 hours after applying this foundation. It's doing pretty good job on holding up with my oil.

Improvement in acne scars and pore size ? Also reduction in severity of breakouts ? Nope nope and nope. My acne scars still there, and pore is still looking big. And still breaking out. But this doesn't make me love this foundation any less, since it makes my skin look flaw-less. It does not transfer much, only around my nose area which incredibly oily. And it does not feel heavy on my skin. The only downside that you need to blend this product ASAP, since it sets so fast.

Conclusion
Pros :
+ Matte finish
+ Does not cling into dry areas
+ Holding up my oil pretty well
+ Light to medium coverage
+ Paraben and  phthalates free
+ Oil free
+ Does not break me out

Cons:
- Expensive
- The color oxidize once you blends them

MY SUMMER SCENT

Summer is approaching, or is it already here ? Everyone's got their own signature scent. So do I. My perfume choice is pretty different through out the season. I wear heavier musky perfume for rainy season (or Autumn/Winter) and more fresh and sweet scent for Spring and Summer.

My top choice is my See By Chloe. This so far my favorite now. It smells like a bouquet of flowers for me (well I suck at describing scents, fyi), and it lasts on me so well. It is pricey but I do not bathe in this perfume. See By Chloe's notes are (surprisingly there's no roses) Top : bergamot, apple blossom. Middle: jasmine, ylang-ylang. Base : musk, vanilla, sandalwood.
Notes: I use this a lot.

The next one are my ultimate CK ONE. If I do not know which perfume I should wear, I will always go for this one. This smells so fresh and clean. Manly, but it is unisex. And I love when men wear this perfume, since it is so damn good. CK ONE notes are bergamot, cardamom, fresh pineapple, papaya, jasmine, violet, rose, nutmeg, musk.
Note : I use this a lot as well, if I want to smells so damn fresh.

Chanel Chance Eau Tendre. Smells fruity and floral at the same time. It is a classic in my taste. I will use this when I am feeling like "I want to be expensive and classy, I want Chanel". I prefer the pink one (eau tendre) more than the other 2 Chanel Chances. This one is more floral. As you can see, I love my floral perfumes. Chanel Chance Eau Tendre's notes are grapefruit, jasmine and white musk.

Last but not least, if you want something sweet, like real sweet, try Giorgio Armani's Si. I will never bathe in this perfume. I only need like 2 sprays and I'm done. Even my friends once said (when I used this perfume) that I smelled amazing. It has fruity and sweet scents. Its' notes are chypre, blackcurrant nectar, airy florals, and musky blond wood. Seems like perfumes that I like all have musky scents.

You should try at least sample these perfumes at your local perfumes store. And see which one you prefer. xoxo

ETUDE HOUSE FACE BLUR SPF 23 PA+++ REVIEW

ETUDE HOUSE FACE BLUR PRIMER has its own hype in Asian beauty community. Lots of Korean Beauty blogger and youtuber raved about this product. At first I do not really want to try this product, because I think it's a so-so primer. But I give it a try.

This product claims to smoothing your skin, hides your pores and tone up your complexion. And it has a pump. (yay)

This face blur primer has SPF 23 PA+++ which is for me not very helpful. Why not SPF 50 PA+++? Or no SPF at all? Why it has to be in the middle ?

The consistency of this product is liquid, and it reminds me of Benefit High Beam but a little bit more liquid. It has white pinky color that helps brighten your face. I was not believe that this product can hide my pores, but believe it or not, it does even though the consistency is not silicon-y at all. This product does not have shimmer or glitter at all. But it give you a glow, while brighten your face.

Down side, this product has no oil control at all, but at the other hand it gives you glow. So this more likely a glowy/dewy primer which smoothing all your pores. I was torn that I get so oily faster when I use this product than when I use something more silicon-y like Benefit Porefessional.

This is a great primer for people who have dry to normal skin. Oily skin? Not so much, Unless you willing to use the most mattifying foundation you have. And I've tried it and my oil still peaking through in 4-5 hours of using this product and most matte foundation I have.

For making my make up last longer, I honestly do not really see my make up last longer with this primer, because most of my make up probably rubbed off when I blot my face lol. Otherwise, this is a great product. I will continue using this product since it's an okay product and only if I want more glow in my face.

SHU UEMURA BLANC:CHROMA BRIGHTENING UV CUSHION REVIEW

Today's post is about my new cushion from SHU UEMURA. I got mixed feeling about this cushion, but mostly good. The packaging of this cushion is so simple, just white plastic, clean look but doesn't feel cheap, it's weighted a little bit. It comes with a sponge, and this sponge is different with other cushion available in the market. The sponge is called brush sponge, and the way you apply the foundation into the skin using this cushion is better when you swipe the sponge across your face, and then using tapping motion if you want more coverage on certain area if needed.

This cushion is pricey. The case is about IDR 250.000 and the refill cost about IDR 500.000. So, for the initial purchase you need to spend about IDR 750.000 for the case and the refill.

The shades available is very light, and probably won't suit darker skin tone. They only have likely 6 shades and I got mine in shade 764 Medium Light Beige. This cushion have SPF 50+ PA+++ and more likely have 13grams of foundation inside.

SHU UEMURA BLANC:CHROMA BRIGHTENING UV CUSHION is designed in Japan, and made in Korea. Seems like every cushion in the market all of them are made in Korea.

The cushion itself is very different than other cushion. It have something like a net above the actual cushion, and trust me you do not need much with this product. This cushion gives you medium to full coverage, but if you use less, you'll get less coverage obviously. You can build this up to full and I am in love with the coverage.

Unfortunately, this product doesn't hold my oil too much. I get oily after 4 hours, but my face still looks good after I blot. But at the other hand, this product doesn't claim for oil control. It claims for brightening, and yes it will gives you a fresh skin look everytime you use it.

The finish of this product more likely a natural finish, and more to dewy finish on my oily skin. This product also doesn't cling onto my dry patches and doesn't separate or look cakey at the end of the day.

Conclusion
What I love about this product :
+ The finish is natural and doesn't look cakey
+ Unique cushion and sponge
+ Medium and buildable coverage
+ Pretty long lasting
+ Doesn't cling onto dry patches
+ It does as it claims to brighten your complexion

What I dislike :
- It is pricey
- The packaging doesn't give a "wow" factor
- Doesn't hold my oiliness

Overall, I like it because it's so easy to use and it gives me such a nice finish and coverage.

BECCA CHAMPAGNE POP AND OPAL REVIEW

HIGHLIGHT ON FLEEK. That is one of my favorite sentence. And I do love when my highlight is on fleek. I want someone see me from the moon and say "Damn, that highlight girl!". Today I am going to give you my review and thoughts about Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Opal and Champagne Pop.

I heard that Tiffany from Girls' Generation or SNSD uses Opal as her highlight, and since then I really want this product. But unfortunately the only time I can get my hands on this product is weeks ago.

At the other hand, Champagne Pop is well known in youtube world, since the creator is the only one Jaclyn Hill. And her highlight always on fire. Unlike Opal, at first Champagne Pop was limited edition but Becca changed her mind and made it permanent. Thank you Becca!

Becca's highlight both Opal and Champagne Pop is not glittery whatsoever. It looks beautiful on the skin, and have a long staying power. Both are so pigmented, but blend beautifully. The powders are so creamy and buttery, also neither of them are scented. I still can see my highlight at the end of the day and it means something.

Opal itself is a golden-pinkish with cool undertone highlighter. And I think it looks good on lighter skin tone. And thank God, I can still pull this highlight on and not look ashy.

At the other hand, Champagne Pop is warmer and more golden with a little bit champagne-y color. This might not be for you if you are pale. But this highlighter will look gorgeous on light-medium and maybe darker skin tone.

In comparison, if you prefer a warmer highlighter and you do have light to medium skin tone choose Champagne Pop. And if you more likely prefer a cooler undertone choose Opal. For me, I am more a neutral yellow light skin tone and I can pull them both, and to be honest I cannot choose which is better, because they will look different to each person. You have to try them yourself and decide which one is better for you.

Both of them are my babies, and I love them so much. I give them 5 of 5 points. Good job, Becca.
